There are all kinds of bonsai starter kits out there. Many come in a fancy box with a picture of an aged pine bonsai and/or some 'oriental' graphics, or promises of 'grow your own' ancient art or some such claims.
Some of these pictures are very pretty but the problem is you open the box to find some seeds, a plastic cup, a thimble size container of soil and vague care instructions, if that. Not so with our kits

Bonsai is not necessarily a great gift. A bonsai needs daily attention ( at least check for water) and loving kindness. Like a pet.
