One-Of-A-Kind Shimpaku
This pot Grown Itoigawa is somewhere around 10 years old. We acquired this tree in 2019 and it was very pot bound. We worked the roots a little repotted the tree into new shoes. It's now healthy and in it's winter colors.
The tree was selected to be worked on, but we're going to run out of time again this year. It really deserves a forever home. And at this price, it should find a home pretty quickly.
The tree features an interesting V-trunk line and branches to work with and style. Definitely an opportunity for deadwood (Jin / Shari). The tree is healthy, ready to ship and style. This spring, you can choose to style the tree or repot it, I wouldn't recommend doing both unless you are experienced.
Itoigawa are highly sought after trees. Once these are sold, we do NOT have have anymore like these. This was a special crop grown by Fred at Hollow Creek.
The Itoigawa Shimpaku is known for its compact growth habit and its attractive foliage. The leaves are bright green and scale-like, arranged in a spiral pattern around the branches. Itoigawa Shimpaku is native to the Itoigawa region of Japan and is considered one of the best varieties of Juniper for Bonsai due to its versatility, ease of care, and adaptability to Bonsai training techniques. The are generally easier to work with than Kishu.

Shipping Bonsai Trees:
Bonsai trees are generally shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays to avoid having them stay in the boxes for any extra time over the weekends.
Shipping Non-Tree Items
All non-bonsai items such as bonsai pots and bonsai supplies are shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment. Most orders are shipped either the same day or the next day, depending on the time of day the order is received.
