One-Of-A-Kind Gerald Rainville Grown Kishu Shimpaku
Due to USDA regulations, we cannot ship Junipers to California.
This Gerald Rainville grown Kishu Shimpaku is a powerhouse of age and character. With a thick, time-weathered trunk and a natural strip of deadwood, it radiates the quiet strength that only decades of patient cultivation can produce. The compact foliage pads are already forming, and the trunk movement suggests stability and elegance—hallmarks of Rainville’s growing style.
Recently given its first styling by Peter Olson (August 10, 2025), this tree has the foundation to become an exhibition-level bonsai in the coming years. The dense Kishu foliage allows for refined pad work, while the broad base and aged bark provide the visual gravity that enthusiasts seek in mature junipers.
These are not your average nursery trees. At 35+ years old, this pre-bonsai is a living testament to patience and artistry, now ready for its next phase of refinement in the hands of a serious collector.
This offer remains limited—Peter & John are selecting and working on trees daily. If the tree you’re viewing is no longer online, it was either sold or pulled back for further development. Before and After Pictures
