Handmade Bonsai Pot by John Fazzino
This compact square pot by John Fazzino feels aged and grounded, with its golden green glaze pooling around deep texture and surface carvings. It’s rustic, yet refined—perfectly suited for shohin or accent trees that need a pot with presence.
The thick walls and strong lines are softened by subtle curves at each corner. Inside, the pot is left unglazed with natural clay that fires to a warm, reddish-brown tone, giving it a lived-in character that complements aged trees or earthy compositions.

Meet the Artist: John Fazzino
John Fazzino has worked with clay since the late 1970s. He holds a BFA from RISD and an MFA from UMass Dartmouth, and has spent decades teaching and mentoring artists across New England.
Today, he’s channeling his creative energy into handmade bonsai pots—each one shaped with intention and designed to endure. Made with high-grog clay, his pots are strong, frost-resistant, and finished to a smooth, stone-like quality.
John lives and works in Mt. Pleasant, Providence, where his garden is both inspiration and testing ground. His bonsai pots aren’t just vessels—they’re collaborations between plant and pot, artist and earth.

Shipping Bonsai Trees:
Bonsai trees are generally shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays to avoid having them stay in the boxes for any extra time over the weekends.
Shipping Non-Tree Items
All non-bonsai items such as bonsai pots and bonsai supplies are shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment. Most orders are shipped either the same day or the next day, depending on the time of day the order is received.
Important Guidelines:
** We cannot ship to a FPO, APO, P.O. Box or to locations in Alaska, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Hawaii or anywhere internationally.
** All Bonsai are shipped direct from the nursery and may ship separately from other items purchased via the Bonsai Outlet.
** If extreme weather is expected, we may delay shipping your Bonsai tree to guarantee a healthy arrival; in such a case we will contact you. We are shipping living trees and must be conscious of the temperature conditions to the delivery address, as well as, while in transit. That said, we reserve the right to hold the tree(s) to guarantee a healthy delivery. We will Hold Your Tree Until It is Safe to Ship.
