About Gerald Rainville
Gerald Rainville was a legendary Canadian bonsai grower, best known for his stunning Kishu Shimpaku and Japanese Black Pines. Starting in the late 1980s, Gerald spent nearly four decades developing trees with patience and precision, often incorporating traditional Japanese methods.
His trees are instantly recognizable for their natural movement, aged trunks, and refined deadwood. He leaves behind a lasting legacy—and owning one of his trees is like holding a living piece of North American bonsai history.
