If you're feeling a bit nervous about diving into this task solo, our Tropical Bonsai Repotting Workshop is here to lend a helping hand.
Bring your bonsai along, and our experienced instructor will walk you through the repotting process step by step.
Don't worry if it's your first time, this workshop is tailored to beginners looking to gain confidence in repotting their tropical bonsai.
Please remember to bring your own tree to work on during the session. And hey, if you're in the market for a new bonsai, feel free to browse our selection at the nursery.

All workshops are led by one of our Bonsai experts. We provide some of the happiest and healthiest Bonsai trees, and we love to share our knowledge!
Hands-On Repotting Experience
Our instructor will provide individualized attention, guiding you through the process of assessing your tree's condition, removing it from its current pot, pruning roots as needed, and replanting in proper bonsai soil. You'll learn why commercial soils often lead to problems and how to prevent future issues.
What's Included in the Workshop:
- Seasoned Instructor: Receive personalized guidance from experienced bonsai experts passionate about tree health and longevity.
- Premium Bonsai Soil: Take home professional-grade soil mix specifically formulated for bonsai health and drainage.
- Ceramic Bonsai Pot: Apply a $10 credit toward selecting a new pot from our collection of over 1,000 ceramic options (or bring your existing pot if preferred).
- Essential Tools and Materials: All necessary tools, supplies, and materials provided for a successful repotting experience.
What's Not Included:
- Handmade or retail bonsai pots – You can apply the $10 credit toward a different ceramic pot if desired.
- Bonsai tree – Please bring your existing bonsai
Workshop Details:
- Cost: $85 per student
- Duration: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Arrive early to explore the nursery!)
- Class Size: Limited to 8 students for individualized attention
- Location: 914 S. Main Street, Bellingham, MA, 02019 (Workshops take place in the greenhouse behind our retail store.)
** All sales are final. No Refunds will be given on workshops provided by New England Bonsai Gardens.

Shipping Bonsai Trees:
Bonsai trees are generally shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays to avoid having them stay in the boxes for any extra time over the weekends.
Shipping Non-Tree Items
All non-bonsai items such as bonsai pots and bonsai supplies are shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment. Most orders are shipped either the same day or the next day, depending on the time of day the order is received.
Important Guidelines:
** We cannot ship to a FPO, APO, P.O. Box or to locations in Alaska, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Hawaii or anywhere internationally.
** All Bonsai are shipped direct from the nursery and may ship separately from other items purchased via the Bonsai Outlet.
** If extreme weather is expected, we may delay shipping your Bonsai tree to guarantee a healthy arrival; in such a case we will contact you. We are shipping living trees and must be conscious of the temperature conditions to the delivery address, as well as, while in transit. That said, we reserve the right to hold the tree(s) to guarantee a healthy delivery. We will Hold Your Tree Until It is Safe to Ship.
