Step into the world of elegant, timeless bonsai artistry. This Hinoki Cypress Styling Workshop is a rare chance to work with the lush, vibrant foliage of this classic bonsai species. Known for its graceful form and deep green foliage, the Hinoki Cypress is a favorite among bonsai artists – and now it can be part of your collection!
With only 8 participants, you’ll receive individualized, hands-on instruction as you shape and style your very own Hinoki Cypress pre-bonsai. Whether you’re just beginning your bonsai journey or looking to expand your collection, this workshop will guide you through every step of the styling process.
What's Included in the Workshop:
- Hinoki Cypress Pre-Bonsai: Each participant will receive a Hinoki Cypress in a 1-gallon grow pot. These trees are healthy, vibrant, and ready for styling.
- Expert Instructors: Our skilled instructors will walk you through every step, providing insights into shaping and care.
- All Tools Provided: From shears to wire, we supply everything you need to style your bonsai during the workshop.
- Comprehensive Care Guide: Learn how to care for your bonsai post-workshop, including watering, light requirements, and seasonal tips.
What's Not Included:
- Ceramic Pot: This is a styling-only workshop. You’ll have the opportunity to repot your bonsai at our Open Workbench Workshop in April or May. We have an incredible selection of pots available for purchase.

- Duration: April 12th (Spring Celebration) from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Arrive early to explore the nursery!)
- Class Size: Limited to 8 students for a more personal experience.
- Location: 914 S. Main Street, Bellingham, MA, 02019 (Workshops take place in the greenhouse behind our retail store.)

Shipping Bonsai Trees:
Bonsai trees are generally shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays to avoid having them stay in the boxes for any extra time over the weekends.
Shipping Non-Tree Items
All non-bonsai items such as bonsai pots and bonsai supplies are shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment. Most orders are shipped either the same day or the next day, depending on the time of day the order is received.
Important Guidelines:
** We cannot ship to a FPO, APO, P.O. Box or to locations in Alaska, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Hawaii or anywhere internationally.
** All Bonsai are shipped direct from the nursery and may ship separately from other items purchased via the Bonsai Outlet.
** If extreme weather is expected, we may delay shipping your Bonsai tree to guarantee a healthy arrival; in such a case we will contact you. We are shipping living trees and must be conscious of the temperature conditions to the delivery address, as well as, while in transit. That said, we reserve the right to hold the tree(s) to guarantee a healthy delivery. We will Hold Your Tree Until It is Safe to Ship.
