One-Of-A-Kind Japanese Holly 'Ilex Dwarf Pagoda'
This tree arrived at NEBG a few weeks ago. It came from a private collector.
The Japanese Holly 'Ilex Dwarf Pagoda' Bonsai, scientifically known as Ilex crenata 'Dwarf Pagoda,' is a charming and compact bonsai variety that is highly prized for its unique appearance and suitability for bonsai cultivation.
The 'Dwarf Pagoda' variety of Japanese Holly features small, dense, and glossy green leaves that are elliptical or slightly oval in shape. The leaves create a lush, dense canopy that lends itself well to bonsai styling.
The 'Dwarf Pagoda' variety naturally grows in a dense, compact, and pyramidal shape. Its branches are layered and well-structured, allowing for a visually appealing bonsai form.
The trunk of this bonsai can develop interesting fissures and texture as it ages, enhancing its character. The bark is typically brown or gray and becomes more textured over time.
Japanese Holly 'Dwarf Pagoda' Bonsais produce small, inconspicuous white or greenish flowers, typically in late spring to early summer. The female plants may develop small, dark berries after flowering, adding a touch of seasonal interest.

All non-bonsai items such as bonsai pots and bonsai supplies are shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment. Most orders are shipped either the same day or the next day, depending on the time of day the order is received.

We are shipping living trees and must be conscious of the temperature conditions to the delivery address, as well as, while in transit. That said, we reserve the right to hold the tree(s) to guarantee a healthy delivery. We will Hold Your Tree Until It is Safe to Ship.
