One-Of-A-Kind Gerald Rainville Grown Kishu Shimpaku

Limited Release – In preparation for the Nationals

We’re opening the vault.

We’re offering a limited number of Gerald Rainville grown Kishu Shimpaku junipers—each one over 35 years old and packed with character. These are pre-bonsai in the truest sense: powerful trunks, natural deadwood, mature structure, and healthy, compact foliage.

This offer is limited. Peter & John will be pulling and working on trees daily. If the tree you were looking at is no longer visible online, it was either sold and/or now being worked on and no longer available. I only took 1 picture of each tree. It will serve as the before picture moving forward.

Why This Tree Matters

  • Grown by Gerald Rainville
A revered Canadian bonsai artist with four decades of experience growing and refining some of North America’s finest pines and junipers. His trees are known for their age, movement, and quiet power.
  • True Kishu Shimpaku (Juniperus chinensis ‘Kishu’)
Known for its tight foliage, elegant movement, and ideal characteristics for refined bonsai design.
  • 35+ Years Old
These are not your average nursery trees—they’ve been developed with patience, intention, and world-class care.
  • Authentic & Legal
Importing Kishu Shimpaku into the U.S. legally is difficult. These trees were imported under strict USDA guidelines and are fully verified. If you see similar trees for sale without provenance, question their authenticity.
  • Rare Early Access
Once these are styled, they’ll be priced accordingly—or may never leave our nursery. This is your chance to choose one now and develop it your way.
