This is an Exclusive opportunity to work and learn from Tyler Sherrod. Only Eight (8) participants allowed in this workshop.
Earlier this year, we acquired Eight (8) 30+ year old pot grown Junipers. These Junipers are in 3 gallon pots and they look awesome. Funky Gnarly Trunks and lots of branches to work with. It's the only way to get one of these awesome Junipers - but what better way.
With Tyler's help and guidance, he'll assist you in styling these beautiful Junipers (with incredible trunk movement & foliage) into quality bonsai trees. Included with fee is a 20+ year old Junipers. Soil, Wire, and Tools are also provided. An astonishing deal for these beautiful trees!

About the Instructor:
Originally from Hickory, North Carolina, Tyler was introduced to Bonsai when he got a job at the Bonsai Learning Center in Charlotte, NC. After working there for a year he attended several workshops with Boon Manakitivipart of Bonsai Boone in the Bay area of California, and Boon assisted Tyler in gaining an apprenticeship with Sinji Suzuki in Obuse, Japan which began in 2011 and lasted 5 years.
In the Spring of 2016 Tyler received his professional certification from the Nippon Bonsai Association. While working under Mr. Suzuki, Tyler was able to work on a variety of coniferous and deciduous trees and was responsible for refining the trees and preparing the trees to be entered in Japan's top bonsai competitions which included Kokufu-ten, Taikan-ten and Sakafu-Ten where several of the trees won top prizes.
Tyler returned to North Carolina in June, 2016 and established Dogwood Studios with the hopes of helping elevate the level of Bonsai in America. He wants to celebrate the vast landscape of America and celebrate it by capturing the emotions of the changing landscape through Bonsai.
Location: Unless otherwise specified, all students should meet in the greenhouse labeled “Workshop”. It’s right behind our retail store – you won’t miss it.
Class will cover care instructions, the elements of bonsai style and design, wintering your bonsai, and more.
Upon completion of the bonsai basics workshop, participants will go home with their own beautiful bonsai, complete care instructions and the knowledge and confidence to keep it thriving.
