We offer short-term boarding services to ease your mind. Here's how it works:

We understand the unique challenges that Winter in New England brings. That's why we offer a specialized Winter Boarding Program.

Here's how it works:
- Schedule a drop-off or session using our Service Calendar >>
- Let us know your goals, tree species, and services needed
- We’ll assess your tree(s), provide an estimate, and outline next steps
- We do the work, (or guide you through it), and you pick up the tree when it’s ready
Note: For tree drop-offs, we require a minimum boarding period of 1 week. For best results, we recommend a 1-month stay so we can care for your tree between service steps.
Rates for On-Site Sessions (at NEBG):
- $125/hour (1-hour minimum)
- $350 for 3 hours (save $25)
- All tools, wire, and workbench space included
- We’ll contact you after booking to discuss your goals
Off-Site Sessions (at your location):
- $125/hour $500 minimum
- Travel time and expenses billed separately
- Must be scheduled at least 30 days in advance
Team bonding with roots. Literally.
Looking for something better than bagels and bowling? Our private bonsai workshops offer a one-of-a-kind, hands-on experience that’s equal parts creative, relaxing, and ridiculously fun.
Held in our private nursery space—closed to the public just for you—your team will unplug, laugh, and leave with something alive (and awesome).
Each guest receives:
- Their own styled bonsai tree to take home
- A goody bag with tools, care instructions, and bragging rights
- A guided 2-hour workshop with our expert instructors
- A private tour of one of the largest bonsai collections in the country
Add-ons available:
- Meeting space before/after in our tea room, tent, or garden seating
- Catered lunch or BYO snacks (picnic-style or formal—your call)
Only available May–September on Tuesdays & Thursdays
Spots are limited—we only offer 40 sessions per year, and they book fast.
