Tinyroots Choji Oil Maintenance Kit – Protect, Restore & Preserve Carbon Steel Tools

Protect Your Tools the Traditional Japanese Way
For anyone who owns carbon-steel tools - bonsai shears, woodworking chisels, kitchen knives, garden tools, construction tools - this Choji Oil Kit is an absolute essential. Carbon steel delivers unmatched sharpness, but it also demands proper care. This kit gives you everything you need to clean, protect, and restore your tools so they last for decades.

Why Choji Oil?
For generations, Japanese swordsmiths, bonsai artisans, and woodworkers have used Choji Oil to prevent rust and corrosion on their most valuable tools. It’s non-toxic, non-greasy, and leaves a clean, protective finish that enhances both appearance and longevity.

What It Does:

  • Shields carbon-steel surfaces from rust and oxidation
  • Restores shine to weathered tools and pots
  • Prevents moisture damage
  • Helps maintain sharper edges, longer

Rust Already Showing? No Problem.
The included Rust Eraser gently removes early rust spots without harming the steel, bringing tools back to life quickly and safely.

How to Use:
Apply a small amount of Choji Oil and buff with the lint-free cloth to clean, protect, and restore. For rust, lightly rub with the Rust Eraser, then finish with a thin coat of oil.

What’s Included:

  • 1 fl. oz. Tinyroots Choji Oil (easy-use dispenser)
  • Rust Eraser for removing surface rust
  • Lint-Free Cloth for finishing and polishing

Whether you’re caring for bonsai tools or maintaining equipment in the workshop, kitchen, or job site—this kit keeps your carbon-steel tools performing their best.

Shipping Bonsai Trees:

Bonsai trees are generally shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays to avoid having them stay in the boxes for any extra time over the weekends.

Shipping Non-Tree Items

All non-bonsai items such as bonsai pots and bonsai supplies are shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment. Most orders are shipped either the same day or the next day, depending on the time of day the order is received.

Important Guidelines:

** We cannot ship to a FPO, APO, P.O. Box or to locations in Alaska, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Hawaii or anywhere internationally.

** All Bonsai are shipped direct from the nursery and may ship separately from other items purchased via the Bonsai Outlet.

** If extreme weather is expected, we may delay shipping your Bonsai tree to guarantee a healthy arrival; in such a case we will contact you. We are shipping living trees and must be conscious of the temperature conditions to the delivery address, as well as, while in transit. That said, we reserve the right to hold the tree(s) to guarantee a healthy delivery. We will Hold Your Tree Until It is Safe to Ship.
