One-of-a-Kind Frank Yee Cork Bark Jade
Compact Specimen Bonsai – Ships Nationwide or Pick Up at NEBG
This is no ordinary Jade. This Frank Yee Cork Bark Jade may be small in size, but it’s loaded with personality—and bark. Lots of bark.
What makes it stand out? For starters, the corking is already intense, with gnarled texture climbing up the trunk and branches—something rarely seen on trees this compact. That rugged, fissured bark usually takes years to develop. On this one? It’s already putting on a show.
Add to that a multi-trunk structure bursting from a powerful base, and you’ve got a tree that feels established and artistic, not juvenile. Each trunk shows natural taper and gentle movement, giving it a real bonsai presence. The canopy is healthy, dense, and full of styling potential—or it can be enjoyed exactly as-is.
This is one of the trees we hand-selected during our 2021 visit to Frank Yee’s personal collection in California. Among nearly 100 Cork Barks we brought back, this one stood out for its structure, health, and raw character.
Despite all this drama, it’s still just as forgiving and easygoing as any Dwarf Mini Jade—making it perfect for both collectors and beginners who want something truly special.
