One-of-a-Kind Frank Yee Cork Bark Jade
Young Pre-Bonsai with Structure and Serious Pedigree
This Dwarf Jade is a direct cutting from one of Frank Yee’s cork bark mother trees—giving it elite lineage and solid structure even at a young age. At just around 4 years old, it’s still developing, but already shows promise with a clean trunk line and dense, healthy growth.
Why it stands out:
-
Cork bark genetics – While this tree hasn’t started corking yet, it’s a cutting from one of Frank Yee’s mature Cork Bark Jades. With time and proper care, bark development is likely.
-
Upright, tapering form – The trunk rises cleanly with visible movement and early taper, giving it natural bonsai potential straight out of the gate.
-
Refined for its age – At around 4 years old, it’s already ahead of many starter trees. Branching has begun to split nicely and the canopy is full and healthy.
-
Frank Yee lineage – Like others in this collection, this tree originated from our 2021 visit to Frank Yee’s California garden. This one was propagated by cutting and raised with care.
Whether you’re just starting out or want a young tree with real potential, this is a fantastic way to get into a Frank Yee Jade with room to grow and evolve.
