The Kotohime Japanese Maple Styling Workshop is a hands-on experience designed for bonsai enthusiasts of all levels. Led by seasoned instructor, John Romano. The workshop is set to provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to shape and style their Kotohime Japanese Maple bonsai.

All workshops are led by one of our Bonsai experts. We provide some of the happiest and healthiest Bonsai trees, and we love to share our knowledge!
What’s Included with the Workshop:
- Experienced Instructor: John Romano
- Instruments: Tools, soil, and all other necessary instruments will be available for you to use.
- Bonsai Tree: The Japanese Maple are currently in 1 gallon grow pots
What's NOT Included with the Workshop:
- Bonsai Pot - you will not be repotting your maple in this workshop. It's too soon.
- Regarding the Bonsai pot. If you prefer a handmade, Yixing, or even an Imported Tokoname container, you can purchase one for this workshop
About the Workshop & Location:
- Attendee Cost: $185 per student
- Duration: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. If you arrive a few minutes early, you'll have more time to enjoy the nursery!
- Limited Class size: 6 students.
- Location: 914 S. Main Street, Bellingham, MA, 02019. Unless otherwise specified, all students should meet in the greenhouse labeled “Workshop.” It’s right behind our retail store – you can’t miss it.
- Refreshments Available: We have refreshments available for sale (Soda, Water, snacks).
- NO Bathroom: There is a portable washroom at the facility, but it does not open until March 1st.
** All sales are final. No Refunds will be given on workshops provided by New England Bonsai Gardens.

Shipping Bonsai Trees:
Bonsai trees are generally shipped on Mondays & Tuesdays to avoid having them stay in the boxes for any extra time over the weekends.
Shipping Non-Tree Items
All non-bonsai items such as bonsai pots and bonsai supplies are shipped within 48 hours of receiving payment. Most orders are shipped either the same day or the next day, depending on the time of day the order is received.
Important Guidelines:
** We cannot ship to a FPO, APO, P.O. Box or to locations in Alaska, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Hawaii or anywhere internationally.
** All Bonsai are shipped direct from the nursery and may ship separately from other items purchased via the Bonsai Outlet.
** If extreme weather is expected, we may delay shipping your Bonsai tree to guarantee a healthy arrival; in such a case we will contact you. We are shipping living trees and must be conscious of the temperature conditions to the delivery address, as well as, while in transit. That said, we reserve the right to hold the tree(s) to guarantee a healthy delivery. We will Hold Your Tree Until It is Safe to Ship.
