Embark on a journey into the captivating world of Bonsai at our upcoming landscape workshop! This special event is designed to immerse you in the art of creating your very own miniature Juniper landscape, and we can't wait to share this experience with you.

It's more than a workshop; it's an opportunity to create a living masterpiece that reflects the beauty of nature in miniature form. Discover the art of Landscape, where every arrangement tells a story of the natural world in a miniature setting. This traditional Chinese art form, closely related to bonsai, captivates with its meticulous portrayal of landscapes, incorporating rocks, trees, and other elements to evoke the essence of nature. 

Workshop Highlights: 

• Mature Junipers to select from: We selected several mature Junipers specifically for this project. You will be working with one Juniper, but you can certainly add more trees / plants in the future. 
• Expert Instruction: Learn from our seasoned instructor who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the art of crafting stunning Juniper Bonsai landscapes. He'll guide you through the process, offering valuable insights into design, styling, and maintenance.
• Hands-On Experience: Get your hands dirty and dive into the creative process! This workshop is all about hands-on learning as you design and plant your Juniper landscape. Discover the techniques of wiring, pruning, and potting to bring your vision to life.
• Create a Tranquil Oasis: Craft not just individual Bonsai, but a harmonious landscape that tells a story. Learn the principles of composition, spacing, and balance to transform your collection of Junipers into a tranquil oasis.  

Participation Level: Beginner
Attendee Cost: $195 per student and Includes the Japanese Black Pine
Duration: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Please arrive a few minutes early.

Included with Workshop: Everything! 

• Experienced instructor (NEBG's own Pete olson)
• Pre-Bonsai Juniper, Rocks, Sand to mimic water, figurine, and more. 
• Bonsai tools, soil, and aluminum wire to support the class

What’s NOT included:

• Everything is included. However, if you want to bring a special figurine to incorporate into your landscape, you're welcome to. 

About the Workshop & Location:

• Attendee Cost: $195 per student 
• Duration: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. If you arrive a few minutes early, you'll have more time to enjoy the nursery! 
• Limited Class size: 8 students.
• Location: 914 S. Main Street, Bellingham, MA, 02019. Unless otherwise specified, all students should meet in the greenhouse labeled “Workshop.” It’s right behind our retail store – you can’t miss it.
• Refreshments Available: We have refreshments available for sale (Soda, Water, snacks).
• Bathroom: There is a portable washroom at the facility, starting March 1st.
